Biography
Dr. Demirdag is the director of the Primary Immunodeficiency Clinic at Columbia University Medical Center, NY, USA. After graduating from Akdeniz University Medical School in Antalya, Turkey, Dr. Demirdag completed her pediatric residency at Hacettepe University Childrens Hospital in Ankara, Turkey. She then completed her fellowship in Clinical Cytogenetics at Yale University, CT, USA and Allergy and Immunology fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, LA, USA. She started and has been the director of the Newborn Screening for Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Specialty Care Center at Columbia University Medical Center since 2014.
Research Interest
Dr. Demirdag's clinical research focused on primary immunodeficiencies in children and adults with recurrent ear and sinus infections, and genetics of primary immunodeficiencies and allergic disorders. Her clinical practice focuses on immunodeficiencies in children and adults as well as food allergies, eczema, drug allergies, allergic rhinitis, and asthma."
