Dr. Demirdag is the director of the Primary Immunodeficiency Clinic at Columbia University Medical Center, NY, USA. After graduating from Akdeniz University Medical School in Antalya, Turkey, Dr. Demirdag completed her pediatric residency at Hacettepe University Childrens Hospital in Ankara, Turkey. She then completed her fellowship in Clinical Cytogenetics at Yale University, CT, USA and Allergy and Immunology fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, LA, USA. She started and has been the director of the Newborn Screening for Severe Combined Immunodeficiency Specialty Care Center at Columbia University Medical Center since 2014.

Gülümser DOGUN has completed her PhD at the age of 45 years from Istanbul University, Institute of Medical Science Child Health and Diseases Nursing and postdoctoral studies from City University School of Health Sciences. David James Riddell Hutchon has 28 years of experience as a Consultant Obstetrician. In 2003, he realized that clamping the umbilical cord quickly after birth severely disrupted neonatal circulation and interfered with transition. He has published and lectured extensively on the subject and co-operating with UK and international colleagues developed equipment and ways of providing neonatal resuscitation at the side of the mother without clamping the cord. He has co-authored a chapter on neonatal care immediately after birth, co-authored two Cochrane systematic reviews, and has organized five international conferences on the subject of mother side neonatal resuscitation.

Randal K Buddington has completed his PhD at University of California, Davis and Postdoctoral training at UCLA before initiating an academic career spanning 30 years and dedicated to understanding how to improve care of infants and young animals. He recently moved to the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center where, he is the Director of the new Institute for Prematurity and Perinatal Research and is developing an interdisciplinary, multi-institutional program supporting collaborative efforts by basic scientists and clinicians.
